A petite French glazed terracotta pot, late 19th to early 20th century, with a smooth rounded body, single strap handle, and slightly everted rim. The interior is coated in a warm chestnut glaze, while the exterior shows a soft pale-yellow ground enlivened with jaspé brown touches that read as stylized flowers, accented by soft green washes that lend freshness. The glaze bears a fine crackled patina, the underside is darkened from use, and light wear and a small rim chip add to its rustic charm.
Charming in a farmhouse kitchen or country pantry, it pairs beautifully with copper and wooden utensils, its surface mellowed by age into tones no new glaze could imitate. A gentle reminder that true character is shaped by years of use and care.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
