Petite Graduated Pair of Mid-20th-Century Bassano Ceramic Baskets - 2" x 6"

Two petite handmade ceramic baskets from Bassano, Italy, each finished in a soft white glaze with openwork sides and a rope-twist rim and foot. Oval in form with softly contoured sides, they reflect the refined decorative sensibility favored by Bassano workshops, a tradition renowned since the Renaissance for refined earthenware and later maiolica. Dating from the mid-20th century, both are signed “Bassano” with a model number under the base. Presented as a graduated pair in two sizes, in very good condition with minor glaze irregularities typical of the craft. Two sets available.

Graceful and versatile, they bring lightness and texture to a table or console.
