A petite French bureau à cylindre in rosewood veneer, circa 1950s, showcasing refined Louis XV revival craftsmanship. The roll-top is adorned with a floral marquetry bouquet framed by chevron panels, above a shaped frieze with three small drawers. Inside, a fitted interior reveals small drawers and open compartments above a pull-out writing surface lined in green leather. Slender cabriole legs end in gilt-bronze sabots, with rocaille chutes and escutcheons accenting the corners and apron. Warm reddish-brown tones enhance the elegant proportions. In good condition with minor veneer losses and light wear, this charming desk reflects the enduring French tradition of artistry and grace in functional design.
Ideal as an elegant writing station or laptop perch, it suits a living room corner, a foyer niche, or a bedroom. Pair it with a Louis XV side chair or a simple stool to balance the ornament. Style the top with a small lamp, a porcelain vase, or a stack of books; close the roll to keep papers discreet, allowing the marquetry and bronze to read as a refined focal point in both traditional and modern interiors.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
