This charming petite creamer from early 20th century Savoy is formed with a rounded body, a gently curved handle, and a neatly pinched spout. The cinnamon-toned glaze is enlivened by soft cream dots, each hand-applied in circular rings with a faint halo effect, adding rhythm and a playful, spontaneous quality to the glossy surface. The interior is finished in a warm beige tone, creating a pleasing contrast with the richer exterior. It shows age with small chips to the lip and foot, minor glaze losses along the rim, and light surface wear consistent with use.
Displayed on open kitchen shelving, it brings a warm country note and a lively decorative accent against stone, wood, or painted cabinetry. It can be used as a simple vase for garden stems on a farmhouse table, to hold wooden spoons by the stove, or grouped with other rustic pottery on a console or mantel for a relaxed, collected look.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
