This superb porcelain sign dates from the 1930s. It explains that children, women under 18 and ladies of all ages are forbidden from entering the factory on Sundays and public holidays (!). A charming and beautifully written phrase that is revealing of the culture of the time.

Etched into the porcelain reads the following:
