Provençal Concrete Jardinière Clad with Durance River Pebbles, 1970s - 16½"

A charming Provençal concrete jardinière from the 1970s, beautifully clad with hand-set galets collected from the Durance River. Raised on a chalice-form pedestal, the bowl is faced throughout with naturally rounded river pebbles in soft shades of grey, cream, pale pink, and warm beige, creating a richly textured surface with an unmistakably rustic character. A finely detailed border of smaller galets encircles the rim, adding a delicate decorative finish to the bold silhouette. The interior remains plain cement. Presented in good vintage condition, with scattered small chips and minor losses to the rim, light surface wear throughout consistent with outdoor use, and a stable, solid structure. 

Whether planted or displayed as a sculptural garden ornament, this jardinière brings the relaxed charm of a Provençal garden to any setting.
