Rare 18th century counterweight

This 18^th century counterweight is in beautifully unrestored condition. Made from local limestone, from the heart of Provence, this weight was once used to balance a poultry rotisserie. The top of the stone has been subtly decorated and there is an iron ring handle joined with lead, all original.

This wonderful piece would make an original door stop.
