A rare and substantial single-leaf interior door from a Florentine palazzo, 18th century, retaining its original polychrome decoration on both faces and likely once part of a two-leaf ensemble. The principal side is articulated with two fielded panels within molded frames, each centered by a chamfered rectangular cartouche enriched with delicate foliate rinceaux and a rosette, while the broad surround is animated by trailing vines. The palette, now softly muted with age, reads in layered tones of sienna, umber, and olive with traces of black detailing, imparting a deeply nostalgic character. An iron box lock remains in place and appears functional, though without its key. Condition is timeworn, with weathered paint, scattered abrasions and notable wear to the lower edge and stile. These signs of age contribute to its historical presence and poetic patina.
As a decorative element, it can be wall-mounted as a striking architectural panel to bring warmth, depth, and a sense of history to an interior. With proper mounting, it could also be reinstalled as a functioning door or adapted as a sliding panel for a walk-in closet or ensuite bathroom.

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
