This elegant mid-19th century bistro table stands out for its beautifully cast iron base, featuring a rare and richly detailed motif. Each leg is adorned with a stylized scallop shell, topped by a small clover leaf, combining two traditional symbols of protection and good fortune. The legs taper outward gracefully and are punctuated by a line of small dots adding visual rhythm and a touch of lightness to the robust form. The turned and fluted central column completes the sculptural silhouette, while a timeworn verdigris patina enhances the depth and character of the ironwork. The circular top is framed in a simple brass ring and fitted with a softly aged marble surface, with subtle spots and natural veining adding to the table’s antique charm.
Compact and full of character, this table works beautifully as a side table or accent piece in both traditional and eclectic interiors. Its sculptural base and timeless materials create a distinctive focal point, equally suited to a living room, kitchen corner, or balcony, bringing a quiet sense of history and craftsmanship to any space.
