Dating from the early twentieth century, this superb and rare glazed terracotta jar likely once featured a cork stopper at the top. Its cylindrical shape is highly decorated, first with a jaspé swirl glaze technique using brown and yellow glaze, then decorated with oak leaves and acorns.
Note some of the original acorns are missing - please refer to video. The piece is glazed inside as well. A unique vase or decorative piece to add to a collection of pottery. If using for fresh cut flowers, be sure to place a container inside the pot first.
