A rare, tall French olive jar from Tournac (near Anduze). Dating to the nineteenth century, it was once used for preserving green olives. The green glaze is traditional for this style jar and has maintained its brilliant color well over time. A lovely piece to add to a collection of French pottery and bring a touch of the French countryside to your home. Note wear to glaze around handle and rim as seen in photos. 

Condition and patina consistent with age.
