This beautiful grand orjol in finely glazed earthenware from Southwest France, dating to the late 19th century, displays generous dimensions and an unusually colored glaze. While most orjols were traditionally finished in plain green or yellow, this example is enriched with striking streams of olive green and chestnut, poured over a buttery straw-yellow ground in thick cascades that create tactile drips and glossy pools.
