A rare pair of exquisite, painted-iron bed frames dating from the Second Empire/Napoleon III period of France (1848-1880). The black lacquer headboards and footboards are richly decorated and accented with painted red-orange scrolling floral patterns and mother-of-pearl inlay. They are sized for small, single beds and include their solid iron side rails. A fantastic addition to complete a unique and imaginative guest room with treasures from the Second Empire period of France.
