This ultra-rare pair of Bakelite door pull handles date from the 1940's. They are in the shape of the Tabac carrot - an emblem required to be displayed on all tobacco stores in France. They are decorated with a variety of brass logos / brands of cigarettes including Gitanes, Gauloises, Celtic etc. They are not designed to be used back to back but on double doors that are pulled open together. 

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
Each measures approx. overall 15¾" long x 8¾" wide including length of metal prongs x 3½" deep (diameter of piece)
Each measures approx. overall 40cm long x 22cm wide including length of metal prongs x 9cm deep (diameter of piece)
