Rectangular Folding Bistro Garden Table - Sage Green - 36½" x 63"

A fixture at Chanteduc for several decades, this folding garden table has moved easily between the terrace and the interior of Patricia and Walter Wells's farmhouse in Vaison-la-Romaine. Its rectangular top with softly rounded corners sits on a pair of slender crossed metal legs — a classic bistro-style form that is wonderfully practical. Most distinctively, it is painted in the same sage green used on the farmhouse shutters, a detail that ties the garden furniture directly to the architecture of the house and feels entirely at home in the Provençal landscape. That green has been renewed more than once over the years. Patricia recalls, "We repainted it several times." Use it as a side table on a terrace, a compact dining table for two in a kitchen or courtyard, or a potting bench beside a garden door. Painted in its original Provence green or refreshed in a colour of your choosing, it carries the relaxed, unpretentious spirit of Chanteduc wherever it goes.
