This dark mahogany French leather club chair is a Havana model from the 1930s. Its rarity makes it extraordinary. It was part of a group of early moustache model club chairs, produced in small quantities because of the very high standards demanded for their production. It has beautiful barrel-shaped arms. The oversized square tapered front feet are crafted from walnut wood. A rare and exciting find. Comfortable and timeless. This singular chair would be a stunning addition to both modern and classic interiors.
Special anecdote: hidden under the seat, this chair came with a piece of its past - an unused ticket to the opera in Paris for a show in the summer of 2013. Perhaps the owner was so comfortable in this chair they decided not to go!
Note: As part of the restoration process to maintain the longevity and quality, the springs have been tightened, the webbing beneath the seat has been replaced, and it has been treated for woodworm.
