Dating from the nineteenth century, this lovely rustic beehive could be used as a small cachepot or for displaying a dried floral bouquet. Originally it would have had a slate lid. Note the remaining traces of honey on the inside. A typical piece of handmade folk art.
Heavy wear and rustic condition consistent with age and use.
