Dating from the early twentieth century this salvaged shop sign reads '‘Librairie Bazar Papeterie’ - a store that sold stationery and books. Made from steel with a lovely timeworn patina. It can be displayed flat on a wall by screws (that would be visible) or it can be cast into concrete so that it is perpendicular to the facade - this is how it was originally displayed as it is two-sided.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
