A lovely religious statuette of Mary holding baby Jesus in one arm and flowers made of tole and paper in the other hand. This hand-painted terracotta figure was made in Marseille, France, in the nineteenth century most likely by Italian artisans who lived there at the time. Her robe is gilded, and two cherubs in the clouds decorate the base at her feet flanked by a pair of gilded urns atop an embellished blue and gilded base. This figure make wonderful addition to seasonal crèche as nativity scene decoration and as a gift at Christmas.
