Hand-formed with a square silhouette, the piece features a broad fluted rim punctuated by rounded corner bosses framing a recessed central well. The glossy glaze ranges from deep charcoal and tobacco brown to olive tones, richly variegated with speckling and subtle pooling in the well. An unidentified maker's signature is present to the underside. Very good condition with minor wear consistent with age and firing.
