A charming set of ten vintage oyster baskets, each displaying its own unique character. Originating from various Mediterranean regions, including France, Tunisia, and Algeria, these traditional baskets are woven from thin wooden slats and show subtle variations in form, colour, construction, and patina. Their weathered surfaces and naturally aged wood reflect years of use, creating a rich decorative presence whether stacked together or displayed individually. 

Originally used for transporting and storing shellfish, their authentic character is particularly suited to coastal and country kitchens, restaurants, delicatessens, and produce shops. They can be used to store seasonal produce or displayed filled with citrus fruits, artichokes, pumpkins, or fresh herbs.
