This adorable set of three fine egg cups date from the late-nineteenth century. They are from Dieulefit and are glazed with pretty pale yellow. Although unsigned, they were possibly made by Étienne Noël (1885 - 1964) due to their form, finesse and glaze.
Dieulefit, a village in the Drôme department of southeastern France, has a long-standing tradition of ceramic production dating back to the 18th century. Known for its high-quality faience, Dieulefit ceramics are traditionally glazed in vibrant green or yellow ochre, often accented with a dark brown border.
