Set of 8 French 'Directoire' chairs late 18th century

A set of eight Directoire chairs from the late 18th century. Suitable as dining chairs but originally designed for the salon. The simple timber frames are made with beech and the cane seats have been replaced - some recently, others less recently. Frames have some repairs.
