A lovely ten-person set of yellow-ochre glazed dinnerware. The set includes 12 dinner plates, 10 side plates, 12 soup bowls, a tureen, and four serving dishes with brown edges and small specks of green glaze dotted throughout. Note that several pieces are marked with the stamp Vallauris Beretta underneath.
Vallauris is renowned for pottery with artists like Picasso working in studios there. These pieces date from the late nineteenth to the early twentieth century and would be a lovely addition to a collection of pottery to add a touch of the French countryside to your home. As signs of character from a storied and well-loved past, please note detailed photography for existing chips and repair work. Please note heavy repair work and chips on the tureen especially.
