This listing is part of the 'At Home with Patricia Wells' collection of epicurean objects and decorative antiques.
From the personal collection of Patricia and Walter Wells, a custom-made set of plates, antique napkins, and collected silver-plated napkin rings. The beautiful plates were crafted by ceramicists in Dieulefit for Patricia, who loves the color spearmint, in the 1980s. Note their elegant shape and almost gilded yellow-glazed rims. The antique napkins came from a linens boutique in Carpentras where the artisan owner more recently professionally dyed them a lovely chalcedony-turquoise color.
The collection of silver-plated napkin rings have been curated by Patricia at various antique markets over time. Each is different, and engraved with a different name. Patricia explains, with a twinkle in her eye, that when guests come for dinner, they get to choose the name that they will have, oftentimes taking on a persona for the evening! She recalls that so many people who come back again want to have the same napkin ring to continue to the delightful tradition! With classic charm and colors evoking the iconic blue-green colors of Ladurée in Paris, this lovely collection will instantly bring French elegance to both cherished gatherings and everyday entertaining moments. The linens can be washed with cold water.
