A suite of four rustic folk art rush-seat chairs from Savoie, dating to the early 20th century. Each chair is crafted in solid wood with engraved uprights, carved baluster spindles to the backrest, and woven straw seats. The frames display a dark, timeworn finish with warm highlights along the edges where years of use have gently worn the surface, harmonizing beautifully with the honey tones of the rush seats. Though the seats show wear, they remain serviceable, and the chairs are sturdy and well-balanced, their simple, honest construction reflecting the enduring traditions of Alpine folk art.
Full of charm and authenticity, they bring a rustic yet sculptural presence to a kitchen or dining area, beside the hearth of a fireplace, or in a mountain retreat. Their aged patina and decorative carvings lend warmth and texture to both country and contemporary interiors
Condition and patina consistent with age.
