A set of four beautifully handmade porcelain marrow serving dishes. Each piece is individually formed to mimic the gentle curve and hollow of a roasted marrow bone: elongated, slightly tapered at both ends, with a shallow trough running the length of the piece. The glaze is a warm, creamy off-white — bone-coloured, deliberately so. Rather than serving roasted marrow bones directly on the plate, these porcelain stand-ins offered a cleaner, more considered presentation — the marrow scooped from the bone and nestled into the dish, ready for spreading onto toast with a pinch of fleur de sel. Patricia explains that the pieces were made specifically to replace the roasted bones themselves, functioning as both serving vessel and visual reference. Prettier than the actual bone, she notes. As a set of four, they work beautifully as individual starters at a dinner table, each guest receiving their own sculptural little dish. They are equally at home arranged together on a shelf or sideboard, where their pale, matte surfaces and uniform form hold their own as objects in their own right. For anyone who loves the intersection of craft, wit and the pleasures of the French table, these are a genuine find.
