Set of Four Wrought-Iron Garden Chairs w/ Weathered Patina

This set of four mid-20th-century wrought-iron garden seats, comprising two side chairs and two armchairs, has a particularly graceful openwork design. The tall backs are formed from sweeping heart-like curves and tight scrolls, echoed in the arms of the armchairs, while the round seats are woven from flat iron strips into an airy lattice. Slender curved legs keep the silhouettes light, despite the sturdy construction. The worn pale-painted finish has weathered naturally over time, with areas of rust and exposed metal creating a richly varied patina that suits the delicacy of the ironwork. One seat has a break within the lattice, but all chairs remain functional overall.

The combination of scrollwork, lattice seats and softened surface gives the group the relaxed character of old garden furniture that has spent many seasons outdoors. They would be ideal around a small garden table, on a terrace or beneath a pergola, where their open construction would sit beautifully among greenery. The mix of armchairs and side chairs makes the set feel collected, while the pale weathered finish brings texture and an easy, romantic garden atmosphere.
