This charming set of three pressed-flower compositions dates from the early 20th century and originated as pages from a Jerusalem souvenir album of Flowers of the Holy Land. The cards are identified as Flowers from Saron (Sharon), Flowers from Jerusalem, and Flowers from Mount Moriah. Each includes a short biblical quotation in Hebrew connected to the location, with the place names repeated below in German, French, and English for an international audience.
The three arrangements are especially appealing for their delicate and varied compositions. The Saron card forms a low botanical landscape, the Jerusalem example is arranged as an elegant open wreath, and the Mount Moriah flowers create a fuller, almost bouquet-like spray, retaining touches of faded pink, orange, and purple. Now presented under glass in simple pale wood frames of a later date, the understated framing keeps attention on the fragile botanical work. Gentle toning, occasional spotting, fading, and small losses are consistent with the age and nature of the pressed material. One postcard sits at a slight angle beneath the glass, a minor irregularity that could easily be corrected if reframed.

Condition and patina consistent with age.
