A set of two blue and white melamine serving trays from the kitchens at Chanteduc, Patricia Wells’s Provençal home and cooking school. Made by the celebrated Provençal house Les Olivades, they echo the region’s printed cottons with a crisp repeating sprig motif. One tray is deep indigo with white sprigs, the other white with blue. Each has softly rounded corners and a reassuring raised rim. The melamine surfaces are smooth and durable, showing light, honest wear from regular use. Generous in scale yet easy to carry in one hand, they stack neatly when not in service. From Patricia’s personal collection, these trays were indispensable in her classes, set as "mise en place" with measured ingredients and then handed to students so everyone could cook together. No longer produced by Les Olivades, they are both practical tools and tangible souvenirs of life at Chanteduc. Put them to work in a contemporary kitchen to corral oils and spices, serve breakfast on a terrace, or ferry glasses to the garden. The blue and white palette sits comfortably in both modern and country interiors, bringing Provençal clarity and purpose to daily cooking and entertaining.
