Small 18th century parclose mirror w/ gilded frame 15" x 17¼"

This pretty parclose mirror dates from the eighteenth century. It has a pretty mirrored frame with fatigued gilding. Parclose mirrors have mirrored panes embedded in the frame. This lovely little mirror has heavily aged glass and is more like a work of art than a mirror that is to be used for applying makeup or shaving.

Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
