Small 19th Century French confit pot with orange glaze
A charming French confit pot dating from the 19th Century. Originally used for preparing terrine and preserves. The ochre glaze is the traditional color applied to confit pots. There are two small handles, no hole in base and a chip on the bottom.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use. Approx. 6 ¼'' x 7 ¾'' wide x 7” high Approx. 16cm x 20cm wide x 17.5cm high
