Dating from the late-nineteenth century, this lovely little coastal landscape has an unusual perspective, the view framed by a pair of Medici urns. The mountainous landscape and sea beyond is typical of the Mediterranean coast. The deep and sculptural frame decorated with floral garlands elevates the painting and adds another layer of French flair. A superb piece for a coastal interior.
