This adorable Louis XVI mirror dates from the eighteenth century. The fatigued giltwood frame has some repairs and has been retouched - refer to photos. Its coloring is warm and its small size but classic design would enliven an interior. Retains original mercury glass. It is a charming piece that would work well in a study or bedroom and combine well with other characterful décor including framed artworks, sculpture, a collection of ceramics or books.
Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
