Small carved wood vanity mirror - 19th-century Italian 20"

This exquisite little Louis XV style vanity table mirror dates from the nineteenth century. The frame and stand are meticulously carved and the mirror is the original mercury glass. Note the large shell motif and carved scrolls that make up the frame. The mirror section is supported with discreet pins so that it may be tilted up and down. A lovely piece for a powder room or dressing room. Note minor repair to the pedestal as seen in photos.

Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
