Alliance [Alliance] is an oil painting on cardboard, created with soft, diffused brushstrokes that blur the boundary between figure and atmosphere. Two cats emerge gently from a field of peach and blue-grey tones that drift across the surface like passing clouds, their shapes suggested rather than defined, as if appearing through mist or memory.
