This striking oil on cardboard painting presents a seated blue-grey dog shown in profile against a vivid orange background. The artist uses thick, textured brushstrokes to build the dog’s softly ruffled fur, creating a velvety surface that contrasts beautifully with the smooth, saturated field of orange behind it. The palette is bold yet harmonious, the cool, muted blues of the dog balanced by the warmth and vibrancy of the backdrop. The composition is simple and centered, giving the animal a quiet monumentality.
