A small eighteenth-century table lamp made from a salvaged giltwood element in the shape of an urn. The back face was intentionally left ungilded - gilding was an expensive finish so it was not wasted if it was not to be seen. The woodworm (now completely treated) seemed to have favored the side that was unfinished! The tapered square fabric lampshade is included.
