This petite terracotta pot brings a soft, handcrafted presence to interiors. Thrown with a gently rounded body and a subtly flared rim, it is coated in a glossy warm honey glaze that thins naturally around the shoulder, revealing a subtle red clay line where the glaze pulled back over the curve during firing and later softened through handling. Made in the mid twentieth century, it reflects the quiet utility of everyday French kitchen pottery. Light wear to the glaze, minor kiln speckling, and a visible chip on the rim give it the mellow, lived-in character of a piece long used and well cared for.
Easy to style on open shelving, it works beautifully as a small cachepot for herbs, a holder for brushes or utensils, or a simple textural accent that suits both rustic and contemporary spaces.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
