Evasio Montanella (1878-1940) was an Italian painter from Genoa, renowned for his simple and vigorous paintings characterized by tonal and chiaroscuro values, reflecting the best of 19th-century traditions. He studied at the Ligustica Academy under Cesare Viazzi and frequently depicted scenes from his native Riviera di Ponente, capturing the lives of fishermen, children, and humble individuals.
