This exquisite streetscape painting dates from the 1940s and is a lovely spot in the village of Orange in Vaucluse, France. Note the pretty street lantern, stone facades and painted shutters. The stairs lead through a tunnel that runs under a village house. The vintage frame has a gold/ gray patina. This gorgeous, small-scale painting will add a touch of French country to any interior. Signed in the bottom right, artist inconnu. Oil on board.
