A substantial and eye-catching English liqueur service from the early 20th century, this elegantly composed set comprises three blown ruby glass decanters with elongated teardrop stoppers, seated within an ornate silver-plated stand. The glass is richly colored in a deep garnet tone and finely decorated with delicate gilt vine and leaf motifs that continue onto the stoppers. The stand rises on scrolling feet and features a central handle with flowing rocaille ornament, while the body is adorned with finely cast floral and foliate details in the Rococo Revival style. The silver plate remains bright and reflective, catching the light beautifully, with only light surface marks and a soft patina consistent with age. The decanters show gentle wear to the gilding. The ensemble remains striking and visually compelling.
This refined set lends color and polish to a dining room sideboard, a drinks trolley, or a library console. Fill with cassis, sloe gin, or herbal cordials, or display empty so the garnet glass catches the light. The trio brings a gentle formality and a quietly festive note to both traditional and contemporary interiors.
Condition and patina consistent with age.
