Substantial 12-Light Floral Chandelier by Maison Chaumette - 29¼" x 39½"

An impressive twelve-light floral chandelier by Maison Chaumette, dating to the 1980s. Hand-formed and painted sheet metal unfurls into curling green fronds accented with soft blush blossoms, each arm terminating in a scalloped drip pan and candle-form socket. The palette of leafy green, dusty pink, and cream feels airy and romantic, while the overall composition remains sculptural and well balanced. Produced by a respected Parisian lighting house renowned for its botanical motifs, the chandelier reflects the enduring tradition of painted metal flower lights that brought a sense of garden poetry indoors throughout the twentieth century. Condition is very good, with gentle wear to the paint consistent with age. 

Maison Chaumette earned recognition in the mid-20th century for its sculptural approach to lighting and decorative arts, creating works that often blurred the boundary between functional design and expressive form.
