Sunlit 1970 Oil on Canvas Still Life From Provence - 21¾" x 28¾"

Bottles, a pitcher, a glass, and a simple plate gather on a sunlit table in this oil on canvas still life signed Denise Cortoux. The paint is applied in thick, confident strokes with stylized forms rather than strict realism, and the palette is anchored by a luminous, warm yellow enlivened by blue and green accents. It is dated April 1970 on the reverse and carries a studio mark from Aix-En-Provence in southern France. Very good vintage condition with light edge wear, presented unframed. 

Hang it in a kitchen, breakfast nook, or dining room to invite a gentle wash of southern light and everyday poetry.
