This breathtaking Italian Neoclassical-style gilded mirror dates from the early twentieth century where it maintained superb condition in a chateaux. Its gilded frame features fluted Corinthian columns on either side of the beveled original mirror. The richly decorated pediment features large capitals topped with dome-shaped scrolling acanthus leaves and pineapple finials. The broken arch is centered with a trophy-style urn with gilded flowers.
This mirror will create a grand statement and focal point in an entry hall.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
Note: Mirrors have been photographed facing fabric, a technique that reveals any age spots in the glass. In some cases, this may create the appearance of an empty frame, but each mirror is complete except where explicitly stated.
