A delightful large drageoir or "bonbon" candy jar dating from the nineteenth century, France. This lovely cut glass footed cup features a flared lid and a faceted ball handle on top. A large example of what was often given as christening gift in the 1800s, filled with sugar-coated almonds or dragées. A special gift or decorative entry piece to fill with candy or mints. 

Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
