Two 19th-century Italian portraits - gouache 24½" x 16½"

A lovely pair of portraits dated 1845 of a lady and gentleman - note the details of their clothing, particularly the woman's lace and the man's bow tie with green polka dots. 

Signed Manzetti in the lower left-hand side in the portrait of the woman and in the lower right-hand side for the portrait of the man.

Note some losses to the original gilded frames and a minor water stain on the paper mat which does not interfere with the integrity of the portraits.
