This fresh coastal village scene titled Paysage de Provence dates from the late-nineteenth to early-twentieth century and is signed Clovis Frédérick Terraire (1858-1931). Terraire studied at the Ecole Lyonnaise and was born in Marseille. He was a member of the Salon des Artistes Français in 1905. Recipient of the Rosa-Bohneur prize at the Salon in 1927.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
