This generous and comfortable period Louis XV 'confessional bergère' armchair dates from the eighteenth-century. It has the original patina and has been restored and reupholstered with beige linen, the cushion is filled with feather down and foam. The carved timber frame has a rounded back with gilt rose cresting and floret seat rails. It is a sturdy and comfortable armchair, perfect for a living room or beside a fireplace.
Condition and wear consistent with age and use.
