A vintage blown glass pitcher from the living room at Chanteduc, this clear carafe has long belonged to Patricia Wells’s personal collection of vintage and antique glassware. Hand blown and crystal clear, it shows a generous rounded body that narrows to a short neck with a neatly pinched pouring lip. The applied handle is thick and comfortable, the base slightly weighted for balance.
Patricia used this pitcher for serving water and juice. From a culinary icon who has spent decades interpreting French food and culture, the pitcher connects naturally to shared tables, potager harvests from the kitchen garden, and the relaxed rhythm of entertaining between Paris and Provence. Press it into daily service for chilled water, citronnade, a bright lemon drink, or fresh-pressed juice; it also makes a graceful vase for a few stems on a kitchen shelf or dining table. Display it on a tray with tumblers, where its clarity and quiet craft will invite frequent use.
